This makes it easy to compare per-unit savings and decide on the right order size before you check out. Multi-quantity quoting is available for <strong>non-tooling parts<\/strong>: CNC, 3D printing, and sheet metal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This article covers both ways multi-quantity quoting works, depending on how a part is priced:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Auto-quotable parts<\/strong>: Pricing updates instantly, so you can view savings by quantity right away.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Manually quoted (RFQ) parts<\/strong>: You request pricing at the quantities you want, and an estimator returns quotes for each.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Auto-quotable parts: view savings by quantity<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If a part in your quote is auto-quotable, you can see pricing at multiple quantities immediately, with no need to wait on a manual quote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Configure your part<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Upload your part and complete its configuration as usual (material, process, finish, etc.), then set your desired quantity and click <strong>Apply configuration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Open the multi-quantity view<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once configuration is applied, a <strong>multi-quantity icon<\/strong> appears next to the quantity field with a <strong>View savings by quantity<\/strong> prompt. Click the icon to open the <strong>Savings by quantity<\/strong> popover and load pricing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By default, you&#8217;ll see three tiers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>1x<\/strong>\u2014your base quantity (the quantity entered in the main quantity field)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>2x<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>5x<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each tier shows an estimated price and a savings percentage, calculated relative to your base quantity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1484\" height=\"1093\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.fictiv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/image-5.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-987496754 lazyload\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1484\" height=\"1093\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.fictiv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/image-9.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-987496758 lazyload\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Adjust your quantities and tiers<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You have full control over which quantities you compare:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Edit a tier<\/strong>: Type directly into the quantity field, or update the multiplier field; the other field updates automatically.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Add a tier<\/strong>: Add additional quantity tiers beyond the default three (for example, a 100x tier) to see pricing at a specific volume.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Note: The 1x base tier is set by the main quantity field and cannot be edited in the popover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you&#8217;re ready, click <strong>Save &amp; update prices<\/strong>. Select a tier<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If one of the quantity tiers works for you, click its radio button. This automatically updates your base quantity to match. Apply a quantity change across your whole quote<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have multiple parts on the same quote, you can scale them all at once. After adjusting the quantity tier for one part, click <strong>Update quantity tier for all parts<\/strong> to apply the same multiplier to every part in the quote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This applies the tier&#8217;s multiplier to every part and closes the popover. If applying it would send some parts to a manual quote, you&#8217;ll see a confirmation first; choose <strong>Yes<\/strong> to apply to all parts, or <strong>No<\/strong> to leave quantities unchanged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once you&#8217;re happy with your quantities, you can check out with any of the quantities shown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1484\" height=\"1093\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.fictiv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/image-4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-987496753 lazyload\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Manually quoted (RFQ) parts: request pricing at multiple quantities<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some parts require a manual quote from an estimator rather than instant pricing. For these parts, instead of viewing pre-calculated tiers, you can <strong>request<\/strong> pricing at up to five quantities in a single RFQ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Start from your base quantity<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You access quantity tiers through the same multi-quantity icon you use to open the popover. Parts that require a manual quote show a <strong>Request a quote<\/strong> tier in place of instant pricing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1484\" height=\"1024\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.fictiv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/image-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-987496751 lazyload\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Add the quantities you want quoted<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enter each quantity you&#8217;d like an estimate for. For example, you might request quotes at 20, 50, 100, and 1,000 units. Click <strong>Save &amp; update prices<\/strong> to save your requested tiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can request up to <strong>5 quantity tiers per part<\/strong>. Apply the same quantities to all tiers or parts<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To request the same set of quantities for every part in your quote, click <strong>Apply these quantity tiers for all parts<\/strong>. Submit your request<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you&#8217;re ready, click <strong>Request quote<\/strong>.
